 wURLdBook Research Tour

Overview

Welcome to the tour. This is an overview of what a wURLdBook account would look like after some time of use. It's actually mine. Anyway, the image depicts main page after you would log in.

The page is broken down into roughly four chunks:

  1. At the top of the page is the menu bar consisting of such things as importing existing bookmarks into your wURLdBook data, setting your preferences, adding a new dossier, adding a new web reference, things like that.
  2. Below the menu bar is the search text field where you can do some fancy searching like contextual searches, search all stuff, resolve an alias, more about that later.
  3. The left side of the page from the top is where you have your account statistics such as how many web references, how many dossiers, how many active content dossiers, your Reading List is there, and the Read Back list (it consists of the last five active content dossiers you read, you can't see it.).
  4. Smack dab in the middle is the meat of your collected contents. A birds-eye-view of your cool stuff that you have collected over time and now is worth millions. It's the view of all your dossiers. Wow.
So there you have it a basic description of the components of the main page. Isn't this exciting? Well, if you're still up for it there's more. Continue...
